Who we are

We are a group aiming to reduce the Carbon footprint of the Hampshire village of Hambledon in response to global concerns about environmental issues. We're keen to attract new members to the core team which now comprises:

Sue Crossley, Alasdair MacKenzie, Penny Mahon, Nigel Foster, Belinda Johnson, Andrew Negus and Will Galgey. We now have  around 120 supporters on our contacts list.

Our lead adviser is the national Greening Campaign.  The Greening Campaign is a structured approach which guides communities through a process.  It also shares best practice to give local campaigns the best chance of success as they progress towards sustainability.

We also take advice from  organisations such as Community Energy South, The Hampshire and Isle of Wight Wildlife Trust, Winchester Action on Climate Change and the Sustainability Centre.

We share discussions and events with Hambledon's Ecochurch campaign which is part of the Church of England's aim of being Carbon Zero by 2030.

We are a working party of Hambledon Parish Council and are supported by them.
